Product Selling Benefits

What makes Micro-Mates desirable is that they eliminate cleaning and prolong equipment life. They are disposable, food safe, paper covers designed to protect the interior of microwave ovens from splatter while heating food. They are currently made of 70 GSM, white, oxygen bleached paper similar to a coffee filter, but firmer and thicker. They do not release any dioxin carcinogens as other plastic kitchen aids have been found to do giving the consumer confidence and relieving the worry over putting plastic based products in the microwave.

Micro-Mates do not touch the food the way a paper towel does. This is an important benefit as it allows the reheating of items with creams, cheese or sauces which are very common. Spaghetti, chicken parmesan and many pasta dishes are commonly reheated and if not covered, the exploding food clogs the air vents and soils the microwave. Paper towels can fail to contain the popping food as they get weak when they are wet and do not completely cover the sides of the food, mostly the top. When a paper towel becomes wet it can leach ink onto the food unless it is a plain white towel which most people do not use. Even if the paper towel or napkin does not rupture it will stick to the food leaving the consumer to pick out the wet, hot, soggy towel from their dish. Most people will buy the product to keep the microwave clean, but an additional benefit is keeping the vent holes clear. If the vent holes are blocked with food, the microwave will overheat resulting in premature failure.
