Product Description

Airfield Mats are very heavy, industrial rubber mats made from recycled tires. They use steel galvanized screw-type anchors that secure them to the ground. They go over and around the post lights that are installed all across an airfield.

Key Selling Benefits

It saves an airport money for 50+ years, which is the life of the product. Sometimes the annual savings are upwards of $30K-$40K per year for average sized airports.

Airfield Mats protect the hundreds and sometimes thousands of lights that are on the runway and taxiway edges at an airport. These lights are broken all the time by large lawn mowing equipment and the grass grows all around the lights causing thousands of man hours per year to trim that grass. Also, poisons and chemicals are now used to try and kill the grass.

The Airfield Mats completely eliminates all the costs associated with the above mentioned problems with airfield lights.

Prior Sales Activity: A typical airport would order 200 to 400 units of product. Either the ROUND or the OVAL shaped mats. There are 7 airports in the USA that have purchased the mats. My company started 4 months before 911 took place and since my product is purchased with annual airport (DOT/FAA) budgeting funds, I was completely brought to a stop. My product is also approved for DOT/FAA funding (AIP, Airport Improvement Program) so if an airports want the product it's 95% paid for by the DOT/FAA. There is no reason for an airport to NOT want this product, it solves many problems and saves airports thousands of $$$ each year for 50+ years. I just need to get the product marketed properly, which simply means brochures to every airport in the nation and magazine ads in a few aviation magazines. Also, a few trade shows around the country. There are approximately 9,000 target airports in the USA, if I just sell to 2 airports in each of the 50 states, the gross sales would be around $2,250,000. (100 airports only) The product is ready to order right now. My manufacturers are all set up and waiting on orders. They can be manufactured and shipped in 30-45 days to an airport. All made in the USA.
